You can play the whole free game without giving us anything. Your progress (words seen, points, streak) lives in your browser only, in local storage, and disappears if you clear it.
We store your email address, a password hash if you set one, your learning progress and your purchases. Signing in with Google gives us your email and name from Google, nothing else. Magic links send one email to the address you type.
Stripe handles the payment and keeps the card details. We keep the Stripe session id, the amount and the pack, so we know what to open on your account and what to refund.
The site records which pages are opened, which games are played and which words are looked at, tied to a random visitor id set in your browser. These events never contain your email, your password, your typed text or a word's meaning: the collector drops anything that looks like it. Google Analytics runs on the production site only.
One session cookie when you log in, one preference for sound on or off, one random id for measurement. No advertising cookies, no third-party trackers besides Google Analytics.
